According to the commentary that scene is entirely ad libbed because the episode ran too short and they needed a filler. RDA and AT were the only ones still around, so they got hauled in to do it.

Seriously? That makes this scene even more awesome, because it means this is mostly Rick and Amanda cracking each other up.

I just watched this and thought how unusual it was that we got such a sweet little intimate scene that didn’t really serve much purpose in forwarding the plot… And now I know it’s because that asshat writers didn’t initially script it.
